On May 22, 2009, I was diagnosed with cancer.

On May 22, 2010, I ate barbecue for lunch and laughed when I couldn't eat the sandwich without pulling out my spicy sausage links. I uploaded more fanfic onto my Kindle and formatted a couple more stories in the .pdf I am making embroiderama for the Truth 'verse. One more PET scan down. Won't get the results back until 2/17...

My CA-125 level (aka, my tumor markers) has remained at a 7, which it dropped to after my last PET scan in December. Both my oncologist and my primary care physician are pleased and we're still using the word "cure" in regards to my prognosis.

So, an unequivocal "yay" all around - despite my night of being happy go pukey.

And that was a wrap on my eighth round of chemo. Hopefully, the ninth session will also be my last session. My tumor markers dropped again, I only had to get stuck once, I'm feeling pretty good and I may have solved a plotting problem while I was hooked up to the IV. Not bad, if I do say so myself.
